Denver neighborhoods and Denver-metro suburbs are two different things. A neighborhood is part of the City and County of Denver. A suburb is its own incorporated city, with its own government, schools and tax base. I’ve split this guide the same way, so you can go straight to the part of the metro you’re actually asking about.
Denver has 78 official neighborhoods. Here are 77 of them (the 78th is the airport), plus 10 well-known areas inside them, grouped by side of the city. 36 metro suburbs, grouped by direction from downtown.
