The Golden Triangle is the wedge of blocks south of Colfax, west of Broadway and inside the curve of Speer Boulevard. On the city’s map it is part of the Civic Center neighborhood, about 4,000 people, and it is the cultural center of Denver.
Living here mostly means a condo or loft. The housing is almost all attached, from converted warehouse lofts to mid-rise and high-rise buildings, many with views toward the mountains or downtown.
The museum district
Within a few blocks you have the Denver Art Museum, including the angular Hamilton Building and the Martin Building, which reopened in 2021 after a full renovation. The Clyfford Still Museum opened in 2011, History Colorado Center in 2012, and the Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art moved here in 2018. The Denver Central Library anchors the north side of the neighborhood.
Living here day to day
Civic Center Park, the City and County Building and the State Capitol are just to the north and east, and the park hosts events and food trucks through the warmer months. Downtown is a short walk north, and the Cherry Creek Trail runs along Speer on the west side for biking and running. The Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse and other city buildings are here too, so weekday foot traffic is busy and evenings are quieter.
