Goldsmith is a small, oddly shaped neighborhood of about 6,800 people in southeast Denver, roughly between I-25 and Quebec Street, south of Evans Avenue. Its boundary wraps around in a lopsided horseshoe, and most people who live here describe it by the nearest big street rather than the neighborhood name.
The location is the main draw. You are about halfway between downtown and the Denver Tech Center, with I-25 a few minutes away.
What the homes are like
The single-family streets are mostly 1960s and 1970s homes, many on quiet cul-de-sacs. Along the bigger roads you will find apartment complexes and condos, which house a lot of people who work at the Tech Center, at DU or downtown. That mix is why the typical value here runs lower than the single-family streets alone.
Trails and parks
The High Line Canal Trail runs along the west side of the neighborhood, part of a 71-mile trail that winds across the metro area. Goldsmith Gulch, a short greenway built for flood control, runs along the east side, and Bible Park, with ball fields, tennis courts and a playground, is just to the south.
